The Angry Gyrl

So today I am contemplating why the world seems to be getting fuller and fuller of stupid people.  Really, think about it.  I’m sure that you can sit there at your desk or car – or wherever you are – and think of at least 5 stupid people that you know right off the bat.  Here’s the catch: if you can’t think of 5, then you are probably in someone else’s 5….  But seriously, it is only me or have you noticed a rise in stupidity lately?

I’m watching TV late at night, and on the news channel that I watch, the panel discussing how race plays into politics got me really going.  Not because of the subject they were talking about, but because there was one guy on there that was just so damn stupid I wanted to smack him.  We won’t go into the subject matter… ok, we will – it was over the Black Panther leader that said that all of those in his listening radius should kill white people and their white babies.  Really?  He’s right up there on my stupid list too now… but anyway, back to the point.  This one gentleman was asked directly if he agreed with this person’s views and instead of a plain yes or no answer, he tries to skirt around the whole conversation basically proving that he agrees with them.  Then, he all but called the white anchor woman a racist because she was asking him directly if he agreed.  She made no comment about the gentleman’s speech, no comment either way about his party or anything else – yet she is a racist.  Are you kidding me?

This is just one of the many facets of stupidity that I’ve found coming out lately.  Why in the hell would everyone want to preach equality then not even uphold it themselves?  Why preach to me about racism and how I am a racist because I’m white when they are a blatant racist and will tell you to your face that they are racists and they are not white?  It really makes me want to high five someone in the face

I don’t condone any type of racism – either way.  I feel that we are all equal no matter what the hell color you are.  I feel that we should not make statements like that about anyone – no matter what color they are.  I also feel that it is not fair to have a double standard because of some groups out there that will sue anyone for anything.  If we’re all equal, then why are different people upheld to different standards and allowed to say things that other people would be hog tied for?  Is this right?

Hell no it’s not right.

But hey – what do I know.  I’m just a stupid white honkey redneck woman right?
